My first project
My first project is a Baby Alpaca (Plymouth Yarns) #2119. In the photo it looks gray but it's actually a very pretty green. Kind of celery and sage combined. It's made of 100% Superfine Baby Alpaca from Peru(via?)!
Here is a photo of a finished one done in a beutiful purple by She Loves to Knit. I started over about 12 or so times before I learned to tell the difference between 2 knit stiches next to two purl stiches, and how to tell if i had just done a knit row or a knit/purl row. As a newbie I had no idea how to tell. Now I feel like a pro!
Jesse was telling me how great I was doing because I kept starting over and going and going and going and not giving up! Now it's on its way. It's only like 4 inches along so far and it will be 42 inches when completed (wow I got a ways to go!).
So, I have had 2 knitting classes to date. I have learned to knit, purl and cast on. I started this the night of the second class after I got home. Been working on it one week so far, but I only got it started correctly on thursday night!

Hey! That's my purple scarf! And how embarrassing... my lingerie drying on a rack in my gorgeous tub, haha! Thank you for the link. And how did your scarf turn out?
